The effect of information technological investments on labor productivity with the view of new economical connections

Abstract

Towards the end of the 20th century, it is often encountered with "New Economy" concept. This concept has come into being with the main development of information technology. With this development, fast globalization process has made time and place differences useless. At the same time it has caused national economies to turn into industrial ones. Because the arrangement in "New Economy" has been changing both in structure and in content, similar situations mentioned above forced governments to invest on information technology on the basis of "New Economy". In this study, analyzing investment data on information technology in the USA, which some researchers think is a leading country, it will be tried to lay out their effects on labor productivity. With the results derived from the study, the future of the world countries is going to be evaluated. © EuroJournals, Inc. 2011.
